Pumpkin Carnival

For 50+ years the Tokeneke Pumpkin Carnival has transformed the Tokeneke Elementary School in Darien into an amusement park. For those seeking a thrill, make sure to try Ali Baba ride, the Cliffhanger, and Zero Gravity. Preschoolers are sure to love the cars, trains, and spin rides. We will also unveil a brand new ride this fall, Crazy Cars, which will surely bring the laughs. The Carnival will feature a variety of lawn games, art activities, face painting, and prizes as well as many Darien restaurants and partnering with Darien Human Services to offer the event free of charge to families who would otherwise not be able to attend. Please spread the word!

VOLUNTEER – If you have not volunteered for a shift, please sign up for one HERE today! WE STILL HAVE 40% OF OUR VOLUNTEER SPOTS OPEN!! WE ESPECIALLY NEED HELP FOR GAMES AND FOOD/DRINK SALES!!! Without our community of volunteers, we will not be able to run some of our most popular events at the carnival. Help continue our beloved tradition – Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Care Givers, and older siblings (5th grade & above) are all welcome to volunteer!

PUMPKIN CARNIVAL AUCTION! – BID HERE! Support our school and bid on exciting experiences and items at our online auction now open. Bidding will conclude at 9:00 pm the evening of the Pumpkin Carnival on 10/14.

Pumpkin Share Cider & Donuts October 13th, 9-10am
Parents and caregivers are invited to view the annual Tokeneke Pumpkin Share from 9-10am on October 13th. Enjoy cider and donuts in the Great Hall while seeing all of the creative designs. All adults attending will need to RSVP here.

Please carpool and plan to park along Tokeneke Road as parking will be very limited.

Also new this year, students may take their pumpkins home after the Pumpkin Share or leave them to be donated to the Mather Senior Center. Thank you for considering our seniors!
